Job Requirements:

As a Bridge Inspector at ALA, you will perform condition inspections of highway bridges and other types of highway structures. This includes performing in-depth visual inspections of concrete, timber and steel structural components and reporting all damage, deterioration, and defects found in the inspected components using standardized methods. You may also perform special inspections for scour critical details; compile structure inspection reports; and maintain accurate records of inspections.

Qualifications:

Qualifications include a bachelor's degree in civil engineering and a minimum of 5 years experience in the area of bridge inspection, bridge inspector training and/or bridge management systems. P.E. required. Experience with Federal Recording and Coding Guide. Excellent written and oral communication skills are required. Bridge field inspection and element level data collection experience desirable.
