Civil Engineer

Founded in 1985, ALA provides professional services in structural, civil, and hydraulic engineering and in environmental studies and documentation to a wide range of clients in the public sector. ALA’s current staff consists of 40 employees including over 15 professional engineers – most with advanced college degrees – construction engineering inspectors, technical support staff and administrative personnel. Duties & Responsibilities:

Perform highway/roadway design related work including the design of storm drains, stormwater management systems, and hydraulics & hydrology. Applicant should be familiar with CADD (Microstation and AutoCAD) but should also be willing to learn, as company will provide training. Some experience in hydraulics and hydrology and familiarity with highway design standards including VDOT, MDSHA or other highway agencies is a plus. Applicant should work well in a team environment and have excellent communication skills.

Education:

BS in Civil Engineering

Experience:
