Fairfax County Parkway over Metro & CSX

ALA designed the substructure for six dual concrete and steel bridges on Fairfax County Parkway. The bridges spanned over RF&P Railroad, Accotink Creek and several roads. The bridge lengths varied from 160 ft to 340 ft long. The piers over Accotink Creek were 60 ft in height. Some of the bridges were skewed (max. 42º), and some of the bridges were on curved alignment.
