ALA developed final design plans for the Kenwood Avenue grade separation replacement over I-95 located south of the I-695 interchange for the Section 100 widening of I-95. The structure consists of a two-span continuous composite steel superstructure with span lengths of 188-ft and 175-ft. The abutments and median pier were designed and detailed to accommodate project architectural enhancement requirements including variable width pier columns and sloped cheekwalls at the abutments. Construction of the bridge was staged in two phases to maintain traffic and utilities (water, telephone, cable) on the existing bridge.
