MD Route 140 Bridge over I-695

This project consisted of the replacement of a two-span grade-separation structure at an urban diamond interchange on this heavily traveled, major commuter route. The new bridge is a two-span structure designed to accommodate the reconfigured single-point urban interchange (SPUI). Extensive aesthetic enhancements and streetscaping are included in the project. ALA provided design and plan preparation services for the bridge abutments and pier including construction phasing plans, demolition details and aesthetic enhancements.
