W. Damian Mesia, PhD, PE

Dr. Mesia is a structural engineer with over 20 years of experience in engineering, managing complex and challenging projects and designing horizontal and vertical structures in major metropolitan areas, including Maryland, Virginia, and Washington DC. His participation spans the project timeline from concept development and analysis of early concepts through design and final preparation of details and drawings and construction support. His background focused on steel and concrete structures gives him a unique perspective on undertaking a wide variety of projects, including complex transportation structures such as bridges, shallow and deep foundations, underground and retaining structures, steel and concrete buildings as well as load rating and analysis. Additionally, he has expertise in Descus I & II, Conspan, RcPier, Merlin-Dash, MDX, Staad, and SAP2000 software. He has experience with Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, and GEC projects.
